Yesterday, I helped Chesley Summar photograph a wedding in Nashville. The two of us went to a wedding workshop a couple of weeks ago in Charlotte and it was great to put what we learned into action! Here is a quick peek of some of the detail images that I got yesterday! More will come later!

Here is one of my more recent sessions with a beautiful and talented girl. Madi is a wonderful singer/songwriter and is breaking into the music industry. I was asked to take some images, and I jumped at the chance. I love photographing families and babies, but capturing teenagers are so fun! It was great to get to know Madi a little better, and she is a natural in front of the camera. We went all around downtown Nashville, and it was bitter cold! We were all bundled up, and she was committed and ready to go! The cold didn’t even phase her. I love having session in Nashville, and hope to do more there soon!

Lauren and Nathan are expecting their first little one so soon! Little Miss Sarah Evelyn (they are going to call her Eve) is supposed to arrive at the end of April, and I can’t wait to meet her. This couple was so fun to photograph. They are tender and loving and affectionate and caring and so comfortable with one another. I cannot wait to see them as parents.
We went out to Centennial Park in Nashville, and it was a wonderful spring day. Spring is my fav time of year (I think I said fall was too…. they are both my favorite in the moment). Spring stands for new, fresh, and change. I sit in my office right now, look out the window, and can see the tops of trees starting to sprout green leaves. This in itself makes me smile. We were so lucky to have our session on this day. The trees were blooming, the sun shining, and buttercups blooming everywhere. I LOVE buttercups, and so does Lauren! My sweet friend Natalie is expecting her first baby in just a few weeks. I was so happy that Natalie asked me to capture such a precious time in her life. Brett is expected to be here the end of March, and we are all anxiously awaiting his arrival. Natalie and I have been friends since high school, and since then, our group has been patiently waiting for when Natalie would call and tell us she was going to be a mama. Some people are just meant to be mothers. Natalie is one of them. She is nurturing, loving, kind, and patient, and I am blessed to be able to know her and have her in my life.
We all cannot wait to meet Brett Allen in just a few weeks. I know you will be such a wonderful mama to him!!

I’m here, I’m here!! I promise!
I will just go ahead and say it… I have been a complete failure with this blog lately. I don’t know what it is… I have SO much to share, but I have had no motivation to get on here and write it all out. Blogging is hard work and time consuming, but it is no excuse… I have been a slacker. I made a goal this year to blog more, tell more, show more, and two months in, I am making little progress. Thankfully, I have 10 more months in 2011 to work on my goal! Trust me though, I have been doing a ton of behind the scene stuff. Business and branding have been another HUGE goal for 2011, and while my blogging has gotten pushed behind, my business is being pushed to the front!
I promise I’ll try to bring a little more life to this blog… just you wait and see. I have 5 sessions this week, so get ready!
Wednesday, I got to take Ty’s 6 months pictures. He is getting so big now, and I loved seeing his sly little smile come across his face. We have had some beautiful weather the last couple of weeks (yay for Spring!!), and while it was trying to rain on us, I think we captured Ty and his family perfectly! Take a look!
Your photography never ceases to amaze me. You captured Ty’s personality perfectly (and everyone who sees them agrees)! When I look at the images it brings me such joy!
I can never thank you enough for capturing these moments so well. I could never imagine trusting anyone else to do what you do.
And for anyone out there considering using Rebecca, she was able to get these shots on a day when my son was an absolute terror! She is patient, kind, talented beyond words, and worth her weight in gold!
Beth!! Your sweet message brought tears to my eyes!! I love being able to be apart of your family in this way, and I can’t wait to continue to watch Ty grow. You are a special family, and I am glad I get to be apart of it!
