Laura & Adam {Expecting}

One of my dear friends from High School asked me to take her pictures of her and her husband before their little boy arrives in September. It is so fun for me to take pictures of people that I know, and I was thrilled when I they asked me to capture this special time. I am sure that Callaway will be just as handsome as his parents are! It is still strange to me to see Laura pregnant. I sometimes feel that we are still in high school gushing about boys and all the drama that goes a long with those years. And it was just 2 to 3 years ago that all we could talk about were the latest wedding details, and now we have completely switched gears! It is all babies now! Take a look at some of the images that I got yesterday, and keep checking back! Callaway will be here before we know it!

Thanks Laura and Adam! I can’t wait to meet you baby in just a few more weeks!!

Colton {Newborn}

Check out this precious newborn Colton! He is just one week old and the most laid back baby I have ever met. He didn’t sleep at all, but just laid there and checked us all out. He was so much fun to photograph, and I love talking to his mom. These are a few of my favorites! We left him naked in most of the pictures, but he definitely won the award for the coolest diaper cover! Monogramed boxers! Love them! Check out this little fella! And by the way… besides the black and white conversions these are all SOOC (straight out of camera)!!

So glad I got to meet Colton and love that I will get to continue to see him grow!

laura cates - Great pictures Becca!! He is so sweet and adorable!

Carson {children}

I love photographing children! I love all photography, but I feel that I don’t get to have as many sessions with children.  It seems like after the first year or two, parents stop seeing the importance of capturing these precious years, while they are still silly, playful, imaginative, and before they are self-conscience.  It is the best time to interact and play, and my favorite time to interact and play with them.

Today, I got to play with Carson.  He is an ALL boy 4 year old who loves trains and tractors. We had a fun time exploring, and these are some of the pictures we got this morning!

Thanks Carson for a fun play date!

Rose & Marshall {wedding}

Another beautiful wedding that I got to be apart of! Rose and Marshall got married last month, and I got to second shoot with Mandy Whitley again. I had a great time again working with her! Check out her blog post on the wedding. Rose and Marshall were a joy to work with and both so relaxed and happy on their big day.  It was a pleasure to work with them and I wish them lots of love and happiness throughout their marriage! The wedding and reception took place at Top O’ Woodland Historic Inn & Wedding Chapel in Nashville. It was so unique and a great place to have a quaint  and charming wedding.  Take a look at some of the pictures I got from the day!

Thanks for taking a look at Rose & Marshall’s big day! Take look at Mandy Whitley Photography’s blog post to view the other fantastic vendors from the day!

Mary Beth & Justin Get Married! {Wedding}

Mary Beth grew up next door to my grandparents, and we had many days playing together as kids. I had not seen Mary Beth for many many years, until last summer when she asked me to be her wedding photographer. I knew this was going to be a special day, and I knew that Mary Beth would be a GORGEOUS bride! I was so very fortunate to photograph Mary Beth and Justin’s special wedding day. The entire day was filled with so much love, and they were surrounded by loving family and friends. Mary Beth and Justin got married at College Hills Church of Christ, in Lebanon, TN. It was a great day, so take a look at their day!

A big thank you to Wendy Hardin who assisted and shot with me at the Peach wedding! Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Peach! I wish you so much love, laughter, and happiness throughout your marriage!
