Last week was a whirlwind!! But in such a good way! I have so many things that I need and want to blog about, but there seems to be not enough hours in the day!!! BUT two things that are coming up are this:

1- Full blog post about the amazing Amber Housely Inspired Workshop that I did Thursday and Friday.  I took away so much, and I am excited to recap my experience.  

2- My niece and sister are in town so all productivity slows down considerably when they are here! Since they are here from FL and we don’t have another trip planned until Christmas…. I have to take advantage of each and every moment I have with this little munchkin.

So more to come, just not today:)Have a wonderful Monday everyone!!

The day before a wedding is filled with so much nerve and excitement for me.  I woke up early this morning to go through my gear, charge my batteries, clear my memory cards, and review my schedule for the next day. There is so much that I love about a wedding.  So much love and emotion and excitement and energy.  Weddings are something I truly love! This is the first wedding of a crazy fall I have coming up, and I can’t wait to kick it off with Brittany and Darrell’s wedding tomorrow! It is going to be a great day! I weather is looking lovely, we are shooting in some new amazing locations, and have a great couple! Take a look at their engagement pictures we did this summer!

Jenni Beth {Bridal} | Lebanon & Nashville, TN Bridal Photographer

A few months ago, my friend and photographer, Chesley Summar asked if I wanted to come along with her to help shoot Jenni Beth’s Bridal session.  Since I had already had planned to help shoot her wedding with Chesley, I thought this was the perfect idea! It is so fun to me to be a second shooter.  I get to take a little more of a breath and don’t have to worry about directing as much as just being able to be creative! Organization… or lack thereof {Personal}

Today is the day I have on my calendar, “Get Organized!” Part of this year of simplicity  is trying to limit the amount of stress in my life.  Just one of my many stressors and weaknesses is organization.  It does NOT come naturally to me, and I have constant worry that I will forget or miss something.  So over the years, I have created systems, bought planners, To Do Lists, and electronic calendars.  I feel like I have tried them all, and still it is a struggle.  When I saw girl hearts camera‘s planner, made by photographers FOR photographers, I knew I needed to try this.

So I am taking one month at a time, but so far, I am loving it! I love that there is both a full monthly calendar PLUS weekly calendar.  Also there are pages each month for monthly notes, goals, and inquires.  I am excited to take advantage of it this month!

Katie, Eric & Weston {Family & Expecting} | Lebanon & Nashville, TN Family and Maternity Photographer

My last several family sessions that I have had has really reminded me that I love having family sessions.  Happy moments, oozing love, and natural play is what I love to see and capture and my latest family session was no different! Katie contact me several months ago to let me know she was expecting her second baby this summer, and wanted to schedule a full family and maternity session before little Nora Kate made her appearance.  It was so great to see these three again! You might remember that I was the wedding photographer last fall, and loved being apart of their amazing wedding day. So I was even happier to hear that there family was growing and they wanted me to capture it too! I get to take Little Nora Kate’s pictures this Friday, so be looking out for that soon! For now, take a look at this sweet family, yummy light, and wonderful moments of love and happiness from this family!
