Joey & Tyler {Engagement, Clover Bottom Mansion} | Nashville & Lebanon, TN Engagement Photographer

So many great things are going on in my business right now, but with that, my blogging continues to take a back seat.  And I hate it! I have so many amazing people that I have had the honor of capturing their moments of love and happiness.  I want to share them with the world! Well… maybe not the WORLD, but anyone that is out their looking at my blog (I know I have some new Canadian friends so that gives me international fans!)

Meet Joey and Tyler! I am beyond thrilled to be apart of their wedding day this September, and I had so been looking forward to their engagement session.  After many yucky day of reschedules, we finally got an amazing day to do their session.  What a fun afternoon! I have known Joey as long as I can remember, and we have some beautiful pictures of us back in the late 80’s, early 90’s that hopefully will not surface to the internet!  The moment I found out that Joey and Tyler were engaged, I couldn’t have been happier.  I wish them all the best, and cannot wait for September! It is going to be one special day.

Take a look!

Wendy & Stephen, Legacy Farms Weddings {Wedding} | Lebanon & Nashville, TN Wedding Photography

I cannot think of a better way to start off my 2012 wedding season than with Wendy and Stephen!  This couple, happiness just flows from them.  From the moment we first met, I loved their connection, love, and happiness that I could feel during our time together.  So from that moment on, I started counting down the days till their wedding day.

This day began many days, years even, before March 24, 2012, but I hope these pictures capture the love on this day.  Take a look at this beautiful day that I got to be apart of!  Thanks Wendy and Stephen for trusting me and allowing me to be apart of your wedding day.

Love+Marriage=Baby Carriage!! {Workshop} | Nashville & Lebanon, TN Wedding & Couple Photographer

Last month, I got the chance to attend an amazing, action packed, inspiring, motivating workshop!  The ever wonderful Kamee June told me and my friend Chesley about a great opportunity last September when she was in Nashville. She told us about the collaboration between her and Julie Rollins in a two-day workshop in Newport Beach, California.  We immediately started planning our trip.  I am so thankful we went.

Kamee and Julie challenged us, to not just take pictures, but inspired us to capture memories, moments for others.  From time to time, I get so wrapped up in the emails and the editing and the finances and the business side of things that I momentarily forget how important my job is. How much I love capturing moments of love and happiness in a couple, wedding, or family.  Those moments in time are what make it all worth it.  It reminds me how truly lucky I am to be able to be apart of so many families lives capturing their important moments.

We also got the chance to build a bigger community of photographers.  And I mean it when I say community.  We made friends that weekend.  Friends that I will go to for advice, guidance, support and fun! We are already planning our reunion trip! I am all for building a safe and supportive group of photographer, to build us up and help each other learn and improve in technique and business. After hearing Kamee and Julie’s thoughts on a positive community, I was so happy!

During our workshop, we got to shoot four stylized shoots.  Kamee and Julie collaborated with an amazing team to plan all four of these sessions.  We started with a beautiful family of four then moved to a happy couple on the boat ramp.  It was so fun! I learn so much for watching and doing, so I was thrilled at so much hands on experience! Day two consisted of a flawless and detailed wedding and a newborn shoot with three precious new babies.  More shooting=me happy!

Take a look at all four of our stylized shoots from our weekend!

A few “action” shots of our wonderful teachers!

I cannot thank Kamee and Julie enough for their time, effort, sweat, tears, hearts, and souls, that they both put into this workshop.  From the moment all of us walked into the door, we all knew we were about to get blown away by the two of them. Love+Marriage=Baby Carriage was an amazing experience.  If you are ready to be inspired, rejuvenated, motivated, and empowered as a photographer, then DO THIS WORKSHOP! As an educator, I love to learn, and I love to be in an environment that creates a safe and nurturing environment.  I went into this weekend knowing it would be amazing, but this weekend was beyond what I thought it would be!!

Kamee and Julie had an amazing support team behind them, and here are a few of them!

From Coast to Coast {Personal} | Nashville & Lebanon, TN Photographer

I can’t believe that March has come and gone.  I had many, many weeks, months really, to wait and plan two exciting trips in March!  It is hard to believe that March is over, and we are this far into April! My first trip in March was to fly to the Pacific Coast, I went with my friend Chesley to Newport Beach, California for an AMAZING workshop (more on that soon!)!! We decided to make the most of our time out there so we took a couple of extra days to play in Sunny Cali.  It was beautiful.  I have been to California before, but it still takes my breath away at all the flowers and water and beauty that where everywhere we went.  So since we had a couple of extra days, we made the most of it! We went sightseeing, shopping, and ate some yummy food!

Part two of my coast to coast adventure was to fly from CA to Florida for a MUCH needed vacation with my hubby and two of our friends, Brandon and Mandi, from Georgia.  So after a long day of traveling and starting on the Pacific Ocean that morning, I ended the day on the the Atlantic Coast with my husband! It was exhausting, but with four days of reading on the beach, it was well worth it! So here are some pictures from my Coast to Coast travels in March!

It was a great 10 days!  Excited for all the great things coming this spring and summer. Check back for some great engagement sessions and a new wedding on the blog!

Aurelia {Newborn} | Hermitage & Nashville, TN Newborn Photographer

This precious girl was an absolute angel for our session.  I could have stayed for hours upon hours at Aurelia’s home with her beautiful parents, and photographed them all day.  From the moment I walked in, Aurelia’s mom, Lacey, was just glowing with pride and delight at her baby girl.  Who wouldn’t want to spend all that time with this loving, happy family?  I was so honored that they chose me to document this time in their lives, as it will fly by for them, I am sure. I hope that these pictures give you a small glimpse into this amazing little family’s life with their new baby girl.
